I am an interdisciplinary visual artist based in Vancouver and my practice currently focuses on using abstraction to develop fragmented and alternative realities.
My work explores capturing unusual perspectives of the every day through scanning my surroundings with a portable scanner. Whether that’s a garbage bin, wall, street sign, etc, there is art to be seen all around— it just depends on the way you look.
Another focus I’ve been trying to capture through my photography is the fleeting and ominous feeling of late nights.
After hours, everything has the feeling of transformation yet all is staying the same while time seems to stop; when it’s empty, unsettlingly silent and appears apocalyptic.
